Alpha School of Massage began in 1992 making us the oldest massage school in NE Florida with over 30 years of experience and over 2000 graduates. We graduated 89 students in 2023 from our home campus Jacksonville Florida. We are bringing that experience to Northern, Virginia where we are approved by the State Council for Higher Education For Virginia. We have the experience, the approvals, and the graduates to prove we are your choice for massage education in Northern, Virginia.
Affordable
Traditionally Massage Schools are more than $10,000 and require Student Loans for most to afford it. Not at Alpha. Our tuition in Virginia is just $4600. In addition to our low cost we have teamed up with Hand & Stone, a nationwide spa, to offer scholarships to help reduce cost. Students must apply for scholarships. If accepted you may reduce your tuition by over $2000. Scholarships are limited so Alpha School of Massage offers payment plans to keep massage school accessible to everyone. You can pay over 12 months with tuition payments deferred until the program is completed.

If you are actively looking for a massage school in Northern Virginia, you are aware that tuition and fees can run thousands of dollars. You’ll also know that there aren’t a lot of choices. That’s why Alpha School of Massage has chosen Annandale as our new home for affordable massage education. Alpha is bringing over 30 years of experience to Northern Virginia. We know how to do massage education with excellence and how to keep it affordable. You will graduate for less than $3,600 if you are awarded a $2,300 scholarship through Hand & Stone. Experienced Instructors
Alpha School of Massage first opened in Jacksonville, Fl. in 1992 and has operated at the same location ever since. Our lead instructor Michael Garcia, graduated from Alpha in 1996 and our home office is staffed with instructors who are all graduates of his.
We are excited to have Thomas Merrill as our lead instructor in Virginia. Tom holds a masters degree in Acupuncture graduating from Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in 2004. He is also a licensed massage therapists graduating from Central Maryland School of Massage in 2016, where he taught for several years after graduating.

Our program has been reviewed and approved by the Florida Commission for Independent Education, The Florida Board of Massage Therapy, The Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission, the Georgia Board of Massage Therapy, and the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworkers (NCBTMB), the Delaware Department of Education Private Business and Trade Schools, and most recently we were approved by SCHEV, the State Council of Higher Education For Virginia.
Access to Learning 24/7
Currently, Alpha School of Massage, Annandale is only offering in person classes. Students will be required to attend all classes in person, however, you will have access to our lectures and course work from home through our online Learning Management System. Our LMS will include live-recorded lectures and our learning modules can be accessed any time day or night.
